The Futon wasn't the least comfortable place he'd slept. Still, his back was feeling a little stiff by the time the muffled voices roused him. He kept quiet and listened, until he was sure from the tone that the voices were conversational rather than confrontational.
Satisfied as to his own immediate safety, he gets up and makes himself presentable before satisfying his curiosity as to the identity of the new arrival. Needless to say, he's less than overtly thrilled to see an armed guard. At least he keeps from outright scowling, even manages a smile for his host.
